Following his election, TAFISA President Janez Sodrznik MSc met with Philipp Müller-Wirth, Chief of UNESCO's Sport section. The meeting took place online on 10 June 2026.
Each party introduced its current priorities and explored potential future collaborations. Among others were discussed the topics of Traditional Sports and Games, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming
UNESCO CIGEPS meeting – where TAFISA is a Permanent Consultative Committee member – scheduled in Paris, France, on 15 June 2026, which will be attended by TAFISA Secretary General Jean-Francois Laurent.
